The Bony King of Nowhere

The Bony King of Nowhere – New talent at Rockoco
There’s new talent under the Rockoco roof! The marvelous The Bony King of Nowhere is a band centred around Bram Vanparys, a young bloke from Ghent. This Flemish version of Devendra Banhart or Bon Iver makes more and more converts with every single gig. No wonder, because the band creates beautifully fragile and minimalistic folk that is simply irresistible and impossible to ignore. This fall The Bony King will play at the Flemish cultural centres, where the power of his intimate music will certainly have full play!
We look forward to February 2011, when the new album will be released!

Broken Glass Heroes

Broken Glass Heroes: a new project by Pascal Deweze and Tim Vanhamel
Sometimes the combination of two completely different musical talents really builds up. But teaming up Pascal Deweze and Tim Vanhamel didn’t just build up, it turned out to do a lot more.
Pascal and Tim were asked to write a soundtrack to go with the already enormously popular comedy TV show Benidorm Bastards (in which some old bastards pull unsuspecting passer-by’s legs). They decided to leave their comfort zone and go for a style that was inspired by music of the sixties and seventies. Both artists really enjoyed working together and so they decided to turn the temporary project into something bigger: Broken Glass Heroes was born and the tunes and jingles became real songs. In early September Vanhamel and Deweze will release their first full album packed with attractive, sexy and stunning songs and late summer melodies.
As a teaser, the single ‘Let’s not fall apart’ is already airing. You probably recognize the tune, because it’s the theme song of the TV show.
Broken Glass Heroes will be performing live at the better class of clubs and fall festivals. As for the live band, Sjoerd Bruil (guitar and backing vocals) already confirmed to join Pascal and Tim, and Marc Bonne – the legend – will take seat behind the drums!
